Tour Of The 3 Waters

We'll kick off our journey in Santa Marta, where we gather early to head down the Caribbean trunk road towards the municipality of Ciénaga. In about 35 minutes, we'll arrive at this remarkable destination, celebrated for its rich history and vibrant culture.

Our initial stop is at the shores of the Caribbean Sea, a charming spot where local fishermen and graceful white herons, known as "Yellow Shoes," will greet us. With your swimsuit ready, you'll have free time to stroll along the beach, savor the invigorating sea breeze, lounge on the sand, and take refreshing dips in the ocean. This first encounter with the sea water will surely be a revitalizing experience that sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Once we've enjoyed the ocean, we'll proceed to the only hot springs in the Colombian Caribbean region, located just a few minutes from Ciénaga. We'll travel a road bordered by sugar mango trees and banana plants to reach a quaint and natural setting. Here, you can soak in the hot springs, renowned for their healing and soothing properties. On-site facilities include changing rooms and tropical fruit vendors, offering a chance to relish a delicious fruit salad or fresh coconut.

Our next destination is the Toribio River. We'll hop back in the vehicle and arrive at a 700-meter trail, lined with towering Caracolí, Ceiba Bonga, Camajorut, and bamboo trees. We'll walk to an artificial waterfall, where a refreshing swim in the river's crystal-clear waters awaits. This natural setting offers a final, rejuvenating contact with fresh water. We'll spend about an hour enjoying the river before retracing our steps along the trail and boarding the vehicle.

Our tour wraps up with lunch at the Manguito restaurant, where we savor a traditional local dish. Afterward, we head back to Santa Marta, concluding our wonderful and cleansing tour.
