Tour Description
At 7 AM, one of our vehicles will arrive at your hotel in Santa Marta to kick off your adventure. We will depart the city, navigating through the center before joining the Troncal del Caribe highway for a 45-minute drive to the main entrance of Tayrona Park (El Zaino).
Upon reaching the national park, we will disembark, register each traveler, and purchase entrance tickets. Here, the guide will offer a brief overview of the park’s conservation and safety guidelines.
We will enter Tayrona Park on foot, commencing our ecological trek. The well-marked trail will lead you through lush tropical forests and breathtaking scenery. You’ll savor the atmosphere and capture stunning photographs along the way.
The trek lasts about 2 hours, depending on our pace and the stops we make. We will navigate winding paths that immerse us in dense tropical forests, enjoy the refreshing shade, and admire a wide variety of flora and fauna that inhabit the park. You’ll encounter majestic ceiba trees, palms, ferns, and a diverse array of orchids, the national flower. We will also pass small streams and cross makeshift bridges, adding a touch of adventure to the experience. It is recommended to always follow the guide’s instructions and stay on the designated trails.
As we near Cabo San Juan, the sound of waves crashing on the shore will heighten the excitement. The final stretch of the trail descends to Cabo San Juan’s main beach, where the breathtaking view of the beach and the Caribbean Sea will greet you. It will be a rewarding moment after the long trek.
Once in Cabo San Juan, you will have time to relax and take in the stunning surroundings. You can swim in the crystal-clear waters or simply unwind on the sand.

You’ll have the chance to explore Cabo San Juan’s surroundings. Take a short hike to the cape’s viewpoint for a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape or enjoy a swim in the nearby natural pools.
We will remain in Cabo San Juan until around 3:30 PM when we will begin the hike back to the park entrance. We will seize the opportunity to once again appreciate the beauty of nature and capture the last images of the landscape.
We will exit the park and return to Santa Marta, concluding the adventure with a drop-off at your accommodation.
