Immerse yourself with us in this natural beauty of the coast, where you will not only enjoy golden sand beaches and crystal clear waters, but you will also live an exciting tubing experience descending the waters of the Palomino River.
In Accompanied by a local guide, you will share the rich and sacred culture of the Kogui Servhiaka community; you will learn about its models of education, housing and family. You will share an enriching talk about the importance of the coca leaf (Ayo) for the community and you will enjoy regional cuisine with a delicious lunch prepared by the women of the town.

Tour Description
We will begin our full-day journey from Riohacha with the pick up at your place of accommodation starting at 07 AM. Remember that if you are staying in Santa Marta, you can request pick-up at your hotel with prior notice.
After a picturesque one-hour drive from Riohacha, we will arrive in Palomino, where we will be Welcomed with a delicious local breakfast, which will give you the energy needed for the exciting activities that await you.
We will continue towards the heart of the town to get to know the Kogui Servhiaka community more closely, we will cross the Palomino River on foot through the lower part of its tributary. On the other side of the shore, community members will share their knowledge about the coca leaf (Ayo) and its sacred value; For them, coca acts as a means of communication with the spirits of nature and a way to connect with the divine.
If the Mamo (spiritual leader) of the community is available, you will be able to receive insurance from La Sierra, a ritual experience of protection and well-being of the Sierra Nevada to maintain the balanced relationship between humans and nature.
After the experience in the Kogui community, around 01:00PM, we will begin the exciting tubing descent down the Palomino River or the Don Diego River (it will depend on the current of the rivers). Tubing in this area is a relaxing activity in which you let yourself be carried away by the current of the river. You will not need previous experience, since the current of the rivers is gentle, allowing everyone to enjoy the descent. For an hour you can relax, enjoy the sun and observe the local flora and fauna while you float.
Upon arriving on land, you will go to a local restaurant to enjoy a typical Caribbean lunch, where you can taste fresh and delicious dishes.
The afternoon will be to relax and enjoy a exclusive sector of Palomino beach. You will have time to rest, sunbathe, swim in the waters of the Caribbean Sea or simply enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
After a day full of adventures and culture, at 05:00 PM we will return to Riohacha. You`ll appreciate the panoramic views of the coast on your way back while taking with youunforgettable memories of Palomino.
The activity ends with the drop off at your accommodation around 06:30 PM.
