Descripción del Tour:

Embark on our historical and cultural journey through the iconic historic center of the heroic city. You have the flexibility to start anytime between 09:00 AM and 03:00 PM, allowing you to choose the time that best suits your schedule.
Our meeting point and initial stop will be the Clock Tower, a majestic structure that serves as the main gateway to the walled city. Erected in the 19th century, this tower boasts a clock that remains functional to this day.
Just a short distance from the tower, you'll encounter the monument to Don Pedro de Heredia, the city's founder, who is infamously known for his role in the slave trade and the subjugation of the region's indigenous people. Here, our guide will delve into the city's complex history and emphasize the significance of embracing the diverse cultures that form part of Cartagena's identity.
We will proceed to the Walled City, a remarkable ensemble of walls enclosing the historic center. These fortifications were constructed during the colonial era to shield the city from pirate incursions and attacks by rival nations. Today, the walled city is an essential destination for anyone visiting Cartagena.
Our next stop is the heart of the historic center, where we will discover The Church of San Pedro Claver, a stunning Baroque-style edifice built in the 17th century. Dedicated to the Spanish Jesuit missionary San Pedro Claver, he is now remembered as “Slave of slaves” for his commitment to opposing slavery in Colombia.
We will then make our way to the charming Getsemaní neighborhood, navigating through serene alleys, cobbled pathways, and quaint churches and squares, each with its unique allure and personality. We'll conclude our tour with a visit to Plaza de la Trinidad, a vibrant square where locals frequently gather to enjoy music and food.
