- Day 1 – Cali Flavors
In the afternoon, embark on an unforgettable experience: the Cali Food Tour, where you will dive into the rich flavors of Valle del Cauca. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll explore the vibrant Gallery Alameda, a renowned market in the city, sampling tropical fruits such as lulo, chontaduro, and freshly squeezed sugarcane. The tour continues to iconic culinary spots, including the Plazoleta Jairo Varela and traditional fish markets, where you'll taste ceviche, shrimp empanadas, and fish patacones.
Next, savor the famous "picadas caleñas," a flavorful combination of pork rinds, pork, fried yuca, ripe plantain, and arepitas, accompanied by local drinks like the refreshing cholao or the traditional champús. The tour concludes with a visit to a crafts shop, allowing you to take home a piece of Cali.
