We will leave the city to immerse ourselves in a colorful landscape full of flowers in Santa Elena, a Silletero town par excellence, located just 50 minutes from the capital of Paisa. Through panoramic windows, you can enjoy picturesque views of the mountainous landscape surrounding Medellín.

During the journey, our accompanying guide will share interesting details about the history and cultural importance of the Flower Fair and theSilletera tradition. b> You will discover how this celebration began in the 1950s as a tribute to the flower industry and over the years, it has evolved to become one of the main events in the country.  The participation of the silleteros, whose history dates back to the 19th century, is fundamental in this festival, since they carry with them the legacy of past generations and continue to transmit their skills and knowledge to new generations. This unique blend of tradition, color and creativity makes the Flower Fair a truly unforgettable event for all who have the privilege of witnessing it.

Once at the farm, you will be received by the silleteros hosts, who will welcome you with folk music and samples of their art. You will begin the guided tour of the farm, where you will learn about the process of making the silletas, from the selection of the flowers to the final assembly. > You will have the opportunity to interact with local silleteros, who will share stories and anecdotes about their work and life in the region.

You will be able to participate in a practical demonstration of how to make a saddle, which will allow you to better understand the art and dedication required to create these floral masterpieces.

You will enjoy a delicious snack while you learn more about the Silletera tradition . At the end of the tour,you will receive a special souvenir, a "mulera", to remember this unique experience.

After four hours of learning about this beautiful family legacy tradition, we return to Medellín where the tour ends and you can continue enjoying the atmosphere festive that is experienced in the city during the Flower Fair.
