We will receive the bikes and have a brief safety orientation. After adjusting the bikes to our sizes, we’ll be all set to start pedaling. We will commence the tour by heading towards Cerro Nutibara, a hill enveloped by lush greenery, perfect for escaping the city’s hustle and bustle while enjoying a 360-degree view. From the hill's base, we'll tackle a 1-kilometer uphill challenge that can be done either on foot or by cycling, depending on our fitness level. Regardless of the method chosen, the payoff is spectacular: sweeping views of Medellín and part of the Aburrá Valley. At the hilltop, you’ll find the renowned Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a typical Antioquian village, offering an authentic cultural experience. Explore the traditional homes, the church, and shops that epitomize past life. We’ll have time to wander around the village, capture some photos, and enjoy a refreshing drink, be it natural juice or beer.
Our journey continues to the Conquistadores neighborhood, situated in the heart of Medellín. This notable area is known as the city’s green lung for its abundant greenery and open-air spaces. Here, we will explore the Parks of the River, a testament to how urban planning can rejuvenate a city. The area boasts a genuine landscape design, mirroring the region's essence. Waterfalls, water bodies, lush vegetation, and wide paths are the main attractions here, perfect for unwinding amidst the urban setting.
We’ll proceed along the path towards the city center, where we can stroll through the historic streets and visit iconic sites such as the Park of Lights, the judicial center, the Bolívar shopping mall, and the renowned Botero Square. The center serves as the cultural and commercial nucleus of the city, rich in history and a blend of old and new architecture. Here, we'll savor a delicious typical snack while listening to captivating local stories.
To conclude the tour, we will explore the vicinity of the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, a sports emblem of the city. You will admire its architecture and relish the sporting ambiance that permeates this area.
