The driver will navigate through the mountains to your initial destination: El Cerro de Guadalupe, a gem of Bogotá situated at 3,300 meters above sea level. Every weekend, more than 1,000 parishioners visit this hill seeking blessings and a moment of peace, away from the bustling city noise.
At Cerro de Guadalupe, you'll catch your first glimpses of the city while enjoying a traditional snack.
Following the brief refreshment and time to capture panoramic photos, you will meet your horse and set off on an exhilarating horseback ride lasting approximately 2 hours towards Cerro de Monserrate. The journey along the rocky paths will transport you back to Colombia's era of religious colonialism. Amidst the forests and wildlife of the eastern mountain range, you'll gain insights into indigenous and rural traditions and their ties to the hills before reaching the renowned Monserrate viewpoint and its cathedral.
