Tour Description
Bogotá and its surroundings offer an abundance of experiences. Early in the morning, our expert guide will meet you at your accommodation. You can choose to begin this activity between 7 AM and 12 PM, at your convenience. We highly recommend starting early to fully enjoy the adventure.
Once aboard the vehicle, we will head to our first destination: Cerro de Guadalupe, a premier viewpoint in Bogotá situated at an elevation of 3317 meters above sea level. This hill is home to a sanctuary originally constructed in the 17th century and features the 15-meter statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.
After capturing stunning panoramic views of the city, we will proceed along the road to Choachí, seeking the mountainous forest and misty waterfalls.
An hour's drive will bring us to the entrance of the La Chorrera Natural and Adventure Park. We will traverse the steep, slippery, and rocky trails to discover the first small waterfall, El Chiflón. Standing at 55 meters high, it attracts adventurers who rappel down its chilly waters.
As we continue, you will gain insights into the park's history, the local ecosystem, and the indigenous heritage. You'll explore intriguing natural features such as “the monkey cave,” while navigating the rolling hills and winding paths that define this unique fog forest.
Deep within the park, we will encounter La Chorrera, the renowned 590-meter high stepped waterfall. While rappelling is not possible here, you can admire its beauty while taking a break, surrounded by lush vegetation and the mystique of the moor forest.
To conclude, if you opted for this choice, you will dine like a local, indulging in a delicious traditional lunch.
We will return to Bogotá after 7 hours immersed in nature, concluding the activity with a drop-off at your hotel.
